Leanne has been studying astrology, formally and informally, since the early 1990’s, and has been interpreting professionally since early 2023. Astrology, for Leanne, has been a journey of discovery, rediscovery and an ever-growing and widening field of experience. Astrology repeatedly affirms that it speaks the truth.
Leanne is a passionate advocate of better systems for foster care and adoption, and advocates for the freedom to access different options of primary and secondary schooling, and continues to enjoy teaching through thematic methods in secondary education. Leanne and her family live within the beautiful Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, NSW, Australia. Leanne has a number of degrees and diplomas, including secondary school education, psychology and astrology (although, Leanne is definitely not a psychologist).

I see astrology through an analogy of a ship: our chart is the ship that we are on. What kind of ship do we have, is it built for adventure, for discovery, for trading? Are we sailing solo, or in a fleet? Do we make our own rules, or following company guidelines? How well do we communicate with others sailing near by?
Astrology speaks about how we are likely to react when we are faced with opportunities and challenges. Have we pulled into port, fearing what’s outside our safety, or do we flit around any and every harbour, buying or seeking thrills? Do we heed warnings of bad weather? Do we take advantage of prosperous times? Do we care for the body of our ship and keep it well maintained?

An astrological forecast is more like a weather forecast, than telling the future. There is no assumption by Mid Mountains Astrology that a forecast will predict the future. Just like a weather forecast, astrology presents some points on what preparations you might choose to put into place (not unlike a rain forecast suggests to take an umbrella), or it might point out potential opportunities to watch for. It is always the individuals choice of course, no astrology interpretation can make you take (or not take) a particular action.

I strongly believe that astrology is not dictating our fate! We are free beings who make our own choices. There are factors, however, that are out of our control, but we can choose how we prepare for them, and how we respond when those events happen. We choose how high-risk or how steady and conservatively are the seas we sail on, and we choose how well we update and maintain the equipment we need in life. Is there a forecast for clear skies or for a storm, are their indications that it’s a good time for storing away for the future, or is it great weather for long distance exploring? If a storm is brewing how prepared are we, do we choose to find shelter or travel on through it? Do we have resources put away for such a day?
As adults, do we take total control of our own path? Do we share the navigating? How well do we operate independently? Or how well do we work together? If we are the leader, how well do we take on that task? As a child, we likely had far less control: who had been in control? What choices did they make for us?
Astrology a universal dance with time.
